Phoenix Modern is reimagining the design and approach of school for learners age 5- 14. The 2024-2025 school year will be our sixth year of operation and the community has a lot of momentum as an innovative, A rated public charter school. We are ready for a new School Director to help lead the community into its next 5 years.

With high value placed on wonder, love, joy, and growth, our purpose is to support a diverse community of learners in developing the skills, mindset, and character that best prepare them for positive, healthy and productive engagement in the world.

Our instructional approach at Phoenix Modern provides children with significant opportunities to play an active role in their own learning and shape the community. In a typical day, learners engage in core skill development using a variety of tools and resources, participate in guided discussions, and immerse themselves in multi-week projects and workshops that culminate in exhibitions of learning. Our mixed-age studios are prepared for between 20-25 learners, representing 2-3 levels in each studio.

DUTIES:

• Develop and implement educational programs and policies to ensure high-quality education for young learners

• Oversee and supervise staff, providing guidance and support as needed

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the school, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation

• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for learners, promoting their personal and academic growth

• Collaborate with parents, community members, and stakeholders to enhance the learning experience

• Lead and participate in professional development activities to stay current with best practices in education administration

• Observe and provide meaningful feedback and evaluation for instructional staff

• Utilize effective communication skills to engage in public speaking engagements and represent the institution

• Competitive Salary: $75,000.00 – $95,000.00 per year
