In the face of unfolding circumstances related to COVID-19, Phoenix Modern is beyond grateful to our staff, families, and community for their support. Our top priority has been ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our families while continuing to foster joy in learning for our children.
WHAT WE’RE DOING NOW
We are driven to foster the growth and flourishing of children and that is no different in these unusual ties. Our approach to supporting children continues to be rooted in our core values: wonder, love, joy, and growth; and we are pursuing this vision in new and important ways, including:
This year, Phoenix Modern children have explored “What it means to be a safe, loving community” and “How people make a difference.” Our guides continue to support learners by providing weekly, flexible learning plans that provide a variety of choice, differentiated virtual small group mini lessons, and personal feedback.
Daily whole studio discussions and engaging provocations on a thematic topic continue fosters collaboration and community. Fun, hands-on challenges for science, art, and movement ensures we are nurturing the whole-child.
Through advanced adaptive digital learning programs for math and literacy, children continue to build their core skills at their own pace.

HOW WE’RE PREPARING TO RE-OPEN
As we plan for the upcoming school year and a return to campus, we are also making necessary accommodations to support the health and safety of our community. When on campus we will implement several safety precautions to maximize the safety and health of those present. These precautions will include additional handwashing stations with scheduled times throughout the day for supervised handwashing, additional hand sanitizing stations, optional approved masks available if needed, and a strict stay-at-home policy for any child or staff member who presents signs of sickness.
We will continue to provide updates on our website and social pages. Let us know how we can best support you in this time.
